Devolution of Manking (the Graceful Fall)

Pythagoras invented music?  He discovered the musical scale, which already existed.  He did this because he paid attention to subtle pleasures that he experienced when he heard certain intervals of notes.  He knew it was pleasing, and looked into it to discover even more.  He discovered the epitome of aural pleasures, he made a system of what used to be obtained by luck.  Like figuring out the buttons in the human mind, so that you have control of a person’s emotions by just pushing these essential buttons, like figuring out the exact formula of life, so now you do not have to depend on luck and weather to grow plentiful crops; like this he created the musical scale, so that now, any arrangement of these keys will be inspiring.  The curious thing, is that pleasure is predominant in the world, and all life has access to infinite pleasure; it is up to us to look into that which enlightens us, that which creates peace, and to live by nature’s arrangement of harmony, in a perfect world.

“The ancient Egyptians were aware of an additional yearly revolution, and they could predict important annual events like the flooding of the Nile by observing when different constellations were in the sky.”  (Measured Tones, Ian Johnston)  Today’s culture has no idea what to predict from the cosmos these days, the subject is even absurd.  Our culture is so turned off by the idea of intangible knowledge that we have ignored the empiric and pragmatic aspect of spirituality.  The reason why the ancients did not have the technology and commodities we have today is not because they did not have the knowledge or capability to create them, but because they knew how to subsist without them.  The reason why so lifespan was so short and why people were treated “unequally”, was because they based their existence on honor (a slowly fading memory of heaven), instead of having such their aspirations be based on a survival that will soon wear out and prove to be a waste of time; food, sleep, sex.  Ptolemy’s model of the cosmos was not meant to exemplify how the rocks in outer-space are moving; but it reflects a practical model that describes the star’s movement’s psychological effect on the human mind, and on other things that would eliminate physical survival from the list of priorities we have today.  Our culture cannot even conceive what could ever be more important than physical survival.  Next time you reject that tradition has any benefit, keep in mind that the our elders were born in an earlier time of this decaying universe, and thus they had access to an insight which is invisible to the even more decayed generation.  We have gone so far down the path of decay, that we actually believe that we are moving upwards the path; we have even proceeded to scorn and scoff at ancient wisdom; we are deranged to the point of being repulsed by the intelligence of the past.  Our technology is what our souls resort to as our spirit falls away from Nature, as our minds forget the wonders of our God-origin, and the miracles of a higher system of awareness; as our minds become more and more deranged, we are left with nothing to allude to, to find what we once knew.

This accusation applies to us as it applies to those before and after us, as the progression of decay is continuous through time.  But who am I to question this decay, this movement of nature?  If you can tap into the wisdom of a small past, you will realize how beautiful the cadence looks from the top.  When you learn the perfection of our progression, you will realize this descent as but a graceful fall.
